About

In pain today? If you do not see a time that works for you, please email or text to see if you can be fit in.

Osteopathy is a manual therapy: skeletal frame and soft tissues (muscles, joints, etc.) are manipulated by hand to promote health (others: pharmaceutical medicine, surgical medicine).

Osteopathy was developed by Andrew Taylor Still in the United States around the end of the 19th century. Since then it has spread to the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

It requires a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology as well as trained hands to palpate and manipulate the body.

The Principles of Osteopathy are:
1. The body is a dynamic unit of function.
2. The body possesses the ability to self-heal and self-correct
3. Structure and Function are reciprocally interrelated
4. Rational treatment is based upon an understanding of these three.

Treatments are gentle and aim to restore the proper motion of the structures of the body so that proper functioning will follow.

Treatments are done fully clothed; please wear loose clothing. First visit: An initial patient intake is completed on the first visit. You can download the intake form to complete it ahead of time.

Treatment price: $40 per session

Payment methods accepted: Credit Card, Cash. Treatment costs can be reimbursed by most extended health insurance companies if your plan includes osteopathic coverage. WSIB and MVA claims are not handled.
